Wash and clean split black gram and cook in vessel until 3/4 th done
Steam-cook the chow-chow in a steam cooker or a vessel
Blend the coconut, cumin seeds and green chilli into a coarse mixture
Heat the oil in a pan
Season with mustard seeds, black gram, bengal gram, asafoetida and curry leaves.
Add cooked Chow-chow and split green grams
Stir fry for 2 min and add salt
Add coconut mixture saute for a minute
Remove from stove, garnish with fresh curry leaves and serve
