Cooked Kerala Matta Rice
Kerala Matta rice is Red in Colour and has more fiber when compared with that of white rice. It is Definitely more Nutritious and highly Recommended for Lunch as it is packed full of Nutrients.

Ingredients
- 2 Cups Matta rice
- 8 Cups Water
- 1 tbsp Gingelly Oil
- 1 tbsp (As Required) Salt Table Salt
Instructions
- Rinse the rice in plenty of water
- Soak for 4 hours in sufficient water drain.
- Boil 8 cups of water in a steam cooker.
- Add salt, followed by rice & Cook for 5-6 whistles.
- Remove from stove.
- Serve hot with vegetable kurma or sambhar.

Tips:
The consumption of this variety of rice does not make you gain extra pounds. Another speciality of this variety of rice is that it does not contain huge amounts of fat and hence it is highly beneficial in controlling and preventing the excess gain of weight. Helps to prevent diabetes.
