Method 1
- How to obtain soft dough for Chappathi?
- Always knead the Chappathi dough with sufficient water.
- Wheat has a capacity to absorb more water.
- Keep kneading for at least a ½ hour by adding water in small quantities until an elastic consistency is obtained.
- Knead the dough at least three hours before making chappathi.
- Cover hot with vegetable kurma.
Method 2:
- Divide thedough into balls of equal size and dip them into some flour.
- Roll the dough with a rolling pin until the batter resembles thin, round pancakes.
- Heat the heavy frying pan, Tava, or griddle over medium flame and cook each chappathi on both sides.
- Serve hot with vegetable kurma.
