Ingredients
- ¼ Cup Wheat flour
- As required Salt
For Stuffing
- 10 No Palak leaves
- 1 Pinch Cumin Powder
- 1 Pinch Pepper powder
- 1 Pinch Asafoetida
- As required Water
Instructions
- Grind the ingredients to obtain a puree.
- Add the puree to the dough
- Knead the dough by adding sufficient salt and water.
- Divide the dough into balls of equal size and dip them into some flour.
- Roll the dough with a rolling pin until the balls resemble thin, round pancakes.
- Heat a heavy frying pan, tava or griddle over medium heat and cook each chappathi on both sides.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney.
Notes
Variation:
The flavour of the dish can be varied by substituting cumin, pepper and Asafoetida with garlic, ginger and green chilli.
