Ladies Finger Kootu
Ladies Finger Kootu procedure is very similar to our poricha kuzhambu. Its a simple and easy kootu recipe. We can serve it thick as a side dish for vatha kuzhambu / sambar or make it slightly thin like kuzhambu, mix with plain rice adding ghee. Tastes good in either ways.

Ingredients
- ¾ Kg Ladies Finger Cut lengthwise.
- 6 Nos Tomatoes
- 1 Cup Coconut Grated
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 2 Nos Green Chillies
- 2 tbsp Gingelly Oil Cold press oil
- 1 Pinch Mustard seeds
- 2 Stalks Curry Leaves Fresh
- 1 tbsp (As Required) Salt Table Salt
- 1 Cup (As Required) Water
Instructions
- Serve with rotis or rice.
- Cut the ladies finger length wise.
- Heat a little oil in the pan and add the chopped ladies finger.
- Grind and strain the tomatoes to obtain a pulp.
- Once the ladies finger is half cooked add the tomato pulp.
- Grind coconut, cumin, green chillies to a coarse paste and add to the ladies finger.
- Temper mustard seeds, black gram and curry leaves use of heated gingelly oil.
